Wow, this year is going to be painful to the very last day, isn't it?

As with so many of you, I'm going to import my decade and a half(ish) of LiveJournal posts to Dreamwidth, though I'll be damned if I'm going to close my account here! I'm going to think of this upheaval as a new start, however, and maybe post again like the old days. It's sad to think that the glory days are so permanently behind us.

Anyway, I'm poshcat over at Dreamwidth too, so drop on by if you haven't already, and be prepared to behold the wonder of my real life updates!!! LOL.

I started mirroring everything to Dreamwidth back in, I don't know, 2006 or something. Or maybe that was InsaneJournal, and DW came along later? I remember there was some huge kerfuffle, which seemed like a big deal at the time. Maybe it was LJ's introduction of ads?

Anyway, technically DW has been my main journal for ages and ages; I actually type in my posts there, and have it crosspost to LJ.

Not that I've been posting at all in the past few years, but I've just started again now, so I'm trying not to lose momentum! (I never did get the hang of Facebook, so LJ / DW is where it's at for me, if it's at anywhere at all.)

By the way, didn't our kids used to be tiny and/or non-existent? Look at them now!

Okay, something's weird ... I just realized that I can't see your entries in my DW friends feed, even though I can see them when I come directly to your journal page. And I'm not viewing on a special filter; I'm just using the "journals only" filter in the default interface.

Well, that's a mystery I'm not going to be able to solve before heading off to Ottawa!
